Construction delivers an extensive range of specialist services in the areas of infrastructure, storm water drainage, bridge maintenance, transport network technologies, trades, land remediation, asset intelligence, lighting and facility services. The Role As Engineering Manager, you'll play a critical leadership role in shaping the governance, compliance and technical standards that support Brisbane's infrastructure delivery program. Working across a broad portfolio of civil construction projects, you'll lead initiatives that strengthen safety, quality, environmental performance and risk management while ensuring infrastructure is delivered in line with legislative and engineering requirements. This highly influential role provides the opportunity to work closely with senior leaders, project teams and external stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and best practice across the business. From leading compliance frameworks and incident investigations to improving governance systems and supporting major infrastructure outcomes, you'll have a direct impact on how Brisbane's city-shaping projects are delivered. Key responsibilities of the role include: lead engineering governance, compliance and assurance frameworks across the construction business develop and maintain policies, plans and tools that support safe and compliant infrastructure delivery monitor and report on business performance across risk, health, safety, environment and quality functions lead incident investigations, early works initiatives and continuous improvement programs provide expert advice and support to leaders, project teams and external stakeholders on engineering compliance matters. To be successful you will have: proven experience providing strategic advice to senior leaders in a complex organisational environment strong capability in business planning, performance reporting and organisational improvement exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex issues demonstrated leadership experience building capability and driving high performance excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills.
