We are currently seeking an experienced and highly organised Executive Assistant to join our team at Coppabella Mine on a 9 month fixed term contract.

Located approximately 140 kilometres southwest of Mackay in Queensland's Bowen Basin, Coppabella Mine is a key Peabody operation producing premium pulverized coal injection (PCI) coal for steelmaking customers around the world.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will provide high-level executive support to the General Manager and Site Leadership Team (SLT), ensuring the efficient coordination of business activities and contributing to the overall success of the operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive executive support to the General Manager and Site Leadership Team.
  • Manage complex calendars, travel arrangements and meeting schedules.
  • Coordinate leadership meetings, workshops, site visits and stakeholder engagements.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, correspondence and meeting materials.
  • Facilitate meeting logistics, record minutes and track actions to completion.
  • Support the preparation of operational and leadership reporting.
  • Manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Coordinate onboarding, accommodation and travel arrangements as required.
  • Work collaboratively with site administration teams and stakeholders across the business.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within administrative processes and systems.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience as an Executive Assistant or in a senior administrative support role.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency across Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships with senior leaders and key stakeholders.
  • High levels of discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem solving capability.
  • Mining, resources, construction or heavy industry experience will be highly regarded.

The Lifestyle

This position is offered on a 9-day fortnight roster (Monday to Friday / Monday to Thursday), providing one rostered day off every second week.

The role is offered on a DIDO basis and would ideally suit candidates residing in the Moranbah, Mackay, Nebo or surrounding regions.

Camp accommodation is available, providing flexibility for applicants who may not live locally.
