Influence business outcomes Strengthen financial performance Overview of our role As a Senior Finance Analyst, you'll join the Gas Market Finance team, where you'll play a key role in supporting financial reporting, maintaining data integrity, and strengthening financial controls. You'll be a trusted finance partner, helping ensure important financial information is accurate, timely, and reliable for both internal and external stakeholders. This is a role that combines technical finance expertise with continuous improvement. You'll have the opportunity to streamline processes, enhance reporting, and contribute to initiatives that help the team work more efficiently and effectively. In this role, you'll support the financial management and reporting activities of the Gas Market Finance team by: Delivering accurate and timely financial reporting and submissions Coordinating key finance processes, including financial consolidation activities and year-end audit requirements Acting as a primary point of contact for finance-related queries from Group Finance and external stakeholders Maintaining the integrity of financial master data to support reliable reporting and decision-making Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial controls Providing robust supporting documentation and maintaining strong governance practices Identifying opportunities to automate processes, reduce manual effort, and improve efficiency Supporting continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen financial processes and outcomes Culture & Benefits What we do matters. Extensive experience in financial reporting and analysis, with the ability to deliver accurate, high-quality outcomes. Strong understanding of financial controls, balance sheet reconciliations, journal management, and governance requirements. Experience improving finance processes through automation, process optimisation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Well-developed planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills, ideally gained within a Group Finance environment. Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships across diverse teams. Qualifications / Certifications & Experience Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. CA or CPA qualification is essential. Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling capabilities. Strong understanding of SAP and underlying data structures, including FI, CO, CATS, and PS modules. Deep technical accounting knowledge, with demonstrated experience applying AASB and IFRS standards. Strong technology mindset, with experience leveraging automation tools and driving process improvement and change initiatives.
