Apply Job no: 73D4X Full Stack Developer (Front-End Focused) - Fin Crime Location: Melbourne (Hybrid) Contract: 6 Months We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer with a strong front-end focus to join a high-profile Financial Crime (Fin Crime) team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of critical initiatives within a fast-paced, collaborative, and technology-driven environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in modern front-end development, with solid full-stack capabilities across Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and cloud technologies. You will work closely with product teams, UX specialists, business stakeholders, engineers, and architects to design and deliver scalable, customer-focused solutions. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications with a strong emphasis on front-end development. Build modern, responsive, and user-friendly interfaces using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Develop reusable UI components and contribute to scalable front-end architecture. Design, develop, and integrate REST APIs to support application functionality and business requirements. Contribute to back-end development activities using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architectures. Develop secure and scalable customer-facing applications aligned with engineering standards and best practices. Work with AWS cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices to support continuous delivery. Collaborate with Product, UX, business stakeholders, engineers, testers, and architects to deliver end-to-end solutions. Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and engineering improvement initiatives. Support testing and quality assurance activities to ensure high-quality delivery. Lead technical initiatives, mentor developers, and promote software engineering best practices. Required Skills & Experience Strong commercial experience with React and modern front-end development practices (approximately 70% of the role). Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS with experience building responsive web applications. Solid full-stack development experience with Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and REST APIs (approximately 30% of the role). Experience designing scalable applications and developing reusable UI components. Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices. Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and application development lifecycle. Ability to work effectively within agile delivery environments. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to deliver high-quality technical solutions. Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills. Experience leading technical initiatives and supporting developer capability uplift. Nice to Have Previous experience working within Financial Crime, Banking, Financial Services, or regulated environments. Experience with QE/Test Automation tools and frameworks. Exposure to AI/LLM-enabled applications, intelligent automation, or AI-assisted development practices. Experience working on customer-facing digital platforms or large-scale enterprise applications.
