Accountabilities:
The Telehealth Doctor will provide safe, effective, and patient-centred medical care through digital consultations. You will work collaboratively with clinical support teams while maintaining high standards of medical practice, documentation, and compliance.
- Deliver high-quality telehealth consultations to a diverse patient population across different health presentations and age groups.
- Conduct clinical assessments, provide medical advice, prescribe appropriate treatments including S4 and S8 medications where applicable, and manage follow-up care.
- Collaborate closely with nursing and clinical support teams to ensure efficient patient pathways and coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate, compliant, and detailed medical documentation within a digital healthcare environment.
- Use digital healthcare tools and platforms to improve patient outcomes, accessibility, and operational efficiency.
- Provide compassionate, consistent, and continuity-focused care while adapting to evolving models of healthcare delivery.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate is an experienced medical professional who is comfortable delivering care remotely and managing a varied patient caseload. You should combine strong clinical judgment with excellent communication skills and an interest in innovative healthcare solutions.
- PGY4 or above with relevant clinical experience.
- General AHPRA registration with no conditions or restrictions.
- Experience managing a broad range of patient presentations and age groups.
- Confidence conducting consultations through telehealth platforms and digital healthcare tools.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear, empathetic, and patient-focused care remotely.
- Ability to work collaboratively with nurses and multidisciplinary clinical teams.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to new healthcare models.
- Availability to support late afternoon and evening consultations is preferred, particularly for doctors based in Western Australia.
- Willingness to contribute to improving access to healthcare through innovative digital services.
