Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis
Lead the budgeting and business planning process by working closely with regional General Managers (GMs) and, where required,
Branch Managers.
Collaborate with budget holders to ensure alignment between financial performance and operational goals.
Drive the preparation and consolidation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
Month-End Close & Reporting
Manage month-end close activities within a 5-day timeline to meet Group reporting requirements.
Post and review key journal entries including:
o Revenue and cost accruals
o Wage and employment entitlement provisions
o Prepayments and reclassification adjustments
Prepare monthly financial summaries and articulate key material movements with clear commentary.
Client and Portfolio Analysis
Conduct monthly deep-dive analysis of client portfolios across various regions or business units.
Investigate and explain financial variances and trends at a granular level, focusing on revenue drivers, margins, and client performance.
Forecasting and Scenario Planning
Partner with GMs and Branch Managers to develop rolling forecasts for Profit & Loss (P&L).
Translate operational inputs into financial projections, identifying potential risks and opportunities.
Performance Monitoring
Provide insights and recommendations to improve efficiency, profitability, and cost control.
Support the development of dashboards and reporting tools for ongoing performance monitoring.
Strategic Support & Business Partnering
Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, providing financial guidance to support strategic initiatives and operational decision-making.

Contribute to business case development and investment appraisals.
Ad-Hoc and Compliance Support
Support internal and external audit processes, tax filings (e.g., Fringe Benefits Tax), and other regulatory requirements.
Take on additional duties as required by the business, ensuring flexibility and responsiveness in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field.
Professional certification such as CA, CPA, CIMA, or ACCA preferred.
5+ years of experience in FP&A, management accounting, or finance business partnering.
Strong understanding of financial statements, planning cycles, and forecasting methods.
Key Skills & Competencies:
High proficiency in Excel and financial systems (e.g. MS Dynamics 365, Power BI).
Strong analytical, problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence non-finance stakeholders.
Attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger picture.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Collaborative mindset with a proactive approach to solving business problems.
Preferred Attributes:
Experience in a multi-site, service-based, or client-centric business.
Exposure to fast-paced or complex organizational environments.
Comfort with ambiguity and ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
