Benefit Calculation Officer
Overview
The Benefit Calculation Officer is responsible for providing professional customer service, through the accurate and timely processing of wage calculations, reviews and back-pays for Employers and Injured Workers.
How you'll make an impact
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to gather information to provide accurate calculations of weekly payments;
- Calculate and update average weekly earnings and back pays in an accurate and timely manner to meet business unit KPIs;
- Monitor, process and action emails received in the shared email inboxes;
- Update and document reporting spread sheets and systems daily to ensure delays are minimised;
- Conduct wage calculations, and / or reviews when provided with average weekly earnings (AWEs) or federal minimum wage (FMWs);
- Audit peer calculations to identify errors and rectify potential mistakes;
- Monitor and complete economic adjustment reviews as per legislative requirements for claims over 12 months of age;
- Collate information and calculate arrears of weekly payments or back pays;
- Work with Dispute Resolution Officers in Conciliation preparation to ensure sustainability of initial decisions.
About you
- Previous administration experience;
- Previous data entry experience with a high
- level of accuracy;
- Proficient with the use of Microsoft suite.
- Experience in claims management
- Payroll and or accounts payable / receivable experience.
