Randwick City Council is an innovative and progressive Council committed to serving our vibrant community on the eastern beaches of Sydney. Our Streetscapes team is seeking a Water Truck Team Leader.
Purpose:
The Water Truck Team Leader is responsible for the safe operation of an MR/HR licensed water truck and the watering of a range of Council assets throughout the Local Government Area. Responsibilities include the watering and liquid fertilising of traffic calming device gardens, newly established turf and landscape areas, newly planted street trees, and other public open space assets requiring supplementary watering.
The role also provides operational support for other Council activities, including filling water barriers, assisting with emergency response and recovery operations and supporting large-scale road and streetscape clean-up works following accidents, spills, or other incidents.
About the role:
As Team Leader, you will supervise a small team, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently. The role requires regular communication with Supervisors, other Council teams and with residents, contractors, and members of the public. You will be expected identify and report on any safety issues identified while out in the field.
