An opportunity has become available for an influential midwifery leader to join Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH) as Midwifery Unit Manager Level 3.

Working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary leadership team, you will champion excellence in care for women, babies and families, while leading and developing a highly skilled and passionate midwifery workforce.

As Midwifery Unit Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across maternity services, driving innovation, workforce excellence, clinical quality and woman-centred care. You will play a pivotal role in shaping service delivery, advancing contemporary models of maternity care and ensuring women and their families receive safe, compassionate and evidence-based care throughout their journey.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Registered Midwife-Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA) AND Relevant management tertiary qualification OR equivalent work experience, OR a combination of study and work experience; and demonstrated commitment to professional development.
  2. Demonstrated ability to build, lead and inspire high-performing midwifery teams, fostering a positive workplace culture that supports excellence in care for women, babies and families.
  3. Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with women, families and multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, compassionate and woman-centred maternity care within a complex healthcare environment.
  4. Demonstrated commitment to clinical governance, quality improvement and improving the experiences and outcomes of women, babies and families through evidence-based maternity care.
