What you'll be doing
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Nurse Educator who is passionate about developing people, improving patient outcomes and creating a culture of continuous learning. You'll partner with Nurse Managers, Clinical Nurse Consultants and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality clinical education that strengthens capability across the perioperative environment.
You will:
Design, deliver and evaluate engaging clinical education, orientation, mandatory training and professional development programs
Mentor, coach and assess nursing staff to build clinical capability, confidence and competency
Facilitate bedside teaching and support evidence-based clinical practice that enhances patient outcomes
Collaborate with nursing leadership to identify workforce development needs and implement innovative education strategies
Lead quality improvement initiatives, competency assessments and education projects that strengthen clinical excellence

Essential Requirements:
Registration: Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Selection Criteria:
Demonstrated extensive clinical experience and/or post registration qualification in the relevant speciality and nursing professional development/ education.
Demonstrated ability to lead and implement change within the context of best practice clinical care and workplace culture
Demonstrated ability to design, implement and evaluate clinical education at the ward level, and provide support and guidance to ensure an appropriately skilled and qualified nursing and midwifery workforce, working within appropriate models of care.
Demonstrated effective and high level communication skills including negotiation and conflict resolutions skills in addition to proven ability to motivate and engage people in the clinical setting.
Demonstrated commitment to professional development and continuous improvement whilst ensuring currency of practice in the relevant specialty.
Demonstrated ability and commitment to collaborative and integrated multidisciplinary teamwork, aimed at building and strengthening partnerships with consumers and key stakeholders to provide best practice service delivery.
Strong commitment to the on-going development/enhancement of nursing practice within a patient centred, multi-disciplinary clinical environment.
Relevant computer skills including database programmes and data entry.
