About this team The Asset Protection Specialist works primarily on the retail floor, reporting directly to the Asset Protection Manager, AUNZ and connecting regularly with the Store Managers of their fleet of portfolio stores. In partnership with the store leadership team, they ensure excellence in Asset Protection and promote a safe and secure environment for guests and staff. By maintaining a visible, professional presence, interacting with guests, and educating the team on safety and security practices, they work to prevent loss and improve the culture of safety. They also collaborate with the Assistant Manager Operations to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices for Inventory and Operational Excellence. A day in the life Understand and communicate lululemon Asset Protection policies and applicable operating procedures. Maintain a visible presence on the sales floor to ensure a safe and secure environment. Lead and support emergency and crisis incidents affecting the store. Address team well-being and safety concerns, reporting incidents promptly to store leadership and asset protection support teams. Partner with the Store Manager and Assistant Managers who are responsible for training the team to report theft or fraud incidents consistently, providing education to eliminate bias. Maintain strong relationships with law enforcement officials to facilitate effective communication and cooperation. Support ongoing training on AP-related topics as needed, adding additional context and clarification when delivered in weekly leadership and monthly staff meetings Ensure compliance is continually met for key Asset Protection requirements which may include (but are not limited to) quarterly First Aid training, and monthly safety walkthroughs. Review and interpret business data and metrics related to compliance, operational gaps, and shrink Identify shrinkage issues through regular analysis and partner with key stakeholders to develop and implement corrective action plans. Educate and coach leadership on effective theft and safety reporting to ensure consistency when the AP Specialist is not present. Collaborate with AP Partners to enhance theft-related reporting and response quality. Working directly with local law enforcement on case building, reporting, and legal proceedings Maintain confidentiality standards regarding sensitive information such as investigations (external & internal) and company security protocols Review SOP compliance and accuracy in Inventory Operations, collaborating with in-store product and operations leaders to determine actions and provide necessary training. Working schedule may include evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business need. Qualifications: Experience in asset protection is not required. We welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds including hospitality, customer service, retail, leadership, coaching/teaching, or other roles where you have demonstrated: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively and build trusting relationships with diverse groups of people Ability to resolve conflict and maintain a calm demeanor in stressful situations Ability to lead or inspire others effectively without authority Strong ethical standards and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. Previous customer service experience with frequent customer interactions. Direct or indirect experience in retail Asset Protection or loss prevention, and/or law enforcement Must haves: Acknowledges the presence of choice in every moment and takes personal responsibility for their life.
