Videographer & Video Editor

Net Profit Explosion
Gold Coast,Queensland,Australia Full Time
Reference: 135_370198_43

We're a global coaching company for fitness-business owners, and we're bringing video in-house. Right now we outsource editing and it's slow, disconnected, and not scaling with how much content we need to produce. We want one capable person on the ground here on the Gold Coast who can shoot and edit - own the camera, own the timeline, and grow with us.

You'll work directly with the founder. We already have the gear - cameras, lights, audio, editing machine [but if you have your own gear you prefer to use, the better] - so you can walk in and create from day one. This startspart-time (~3 days/week) and is built to grow into a full-time role as our output scales. We're not looking for a faceless freelancer; we're building a small creative team, and you'll be a key member of the team.

What you'll do

  • Shoot short-form and long-form video - talking-head, b-roll, on-location and in-studio
  • Set up and run lighting, framing, and audio for clean, professional capture
  • Edit for YouTube (long-form) and Reels / Shorts / TikTok (short-form) - pacing, story, sound, captions, hooks
  • Turn raw footage and ideas into finished, on-brand content with quick turnaround
  • Manage and organise footage, projects, and a growing asset library
  • Bring ideas to the table - you're a creative contributor, not just a button-pusher

What we're looking for

Must have:

  • A showreel / portfolio with both short-form social and long-form work
  • Confident using a camera - you can light and frame a shoot, not just edit one
  • Strong editing in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut (we're tool-agnostic if your work is good)
  • Basic motion graphics / simple animation skills (can use presets and templates)
  • Reliable, organised, and able to hit deadlines without being chased
  • Based on or near the Gold Coast and able to shoot live action in person
  • Understand social media content landscape (even help identify trends to provide your own creative ideas)

Nice to have (or keen to learn):

  • Using AI tools to speed up production - auto-captioning, editing assistants, b-roll generation, repurposing
  • Advanced motion graphics
  • Sound design and colour grading
  • An interest in the fitness / health space
  • Experience directing talent

We genuinely value people who want to getfaster and better by leaning into AI rather than ignoring it. If that's how you think about your craft, you'll fit well here.

What we offer

  • The gear is provided [but if you have your own, the better] - show up and create
  • Direct line to the founder and real creative ownership (no agency layers)
  • A part-time start that's designed to grow into full-time for the right person
  • Indicative package: $85,000-$100,000 + super (full-time equivalent), pro-rata while part-time, depending on experience
  • A chance to build something - to be the foundation of an in-house creative team, not a cog in someone else's

How to apply

Send us:

  1. Your showreel or portfolio (link) *please note what role you played in each project (ex., Director, videographer, editor, lighting designer, and how long it took from the day of the shoot, to the final product).
  2. A short note (a few lines is fine) on what you'd be excited to shoot/build, and how - if at all - you use AI in your workflow
  3. Your availability (days/week) and whether you're open to part-time-to-full-time

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to apaid half-day test shoot + edit so we can see how you work and you can see how we work. We pay for your time.

Equal-opportunity: we hire on craft, reliability, and attitude.
