What you'll be doing
Your responsibilities may include:
Conducting foot and vehicle patrols across hospital facilities
Responding to incidents, emergencies, alarms, and requests for assistance
Monitoring CCTV, access control systems, and security alarms
Providing customer service and assistance to patients, visitors, and staff
Managing access to restricted areas and issuing visitor passes where required
Assisting with emergency codes, evacuations, and critical incidents
Supporting clinical staff in managing challenging or aggressive behaviours when required
Completing incident reports and maintaining accurate records
Investigating security-related incidents and escalating issues appropriately
Liaising with emergency services, hospital staff, contractors, and other stakeholders
Ensuring compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and workplace safety requirements
Contributing to a positive team environment and high standard of service delivery
- Must hold current NSW Security Licence Class 1A, NSW Drivers Licence Class 'C' and a valid Senior First Aid certificate.
- Providing service with a strong, responsive customer service focus.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and apply relevant legislation, policy and professional standards in the workplace.
- Demonstrated negotiation and conflict resolution skills and the ability to work as a member of a team in an often stressful environment with the willingness and ability to follow direction from team leaders in both clinical and administrative roles.
