THE POSITION:
To ensure that the AlburyCity's Early Childhood Education and Care service operates in an efficient and effective manner, while providing a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment for all children attending Banjora.

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:
- Based on a 38 hour week,with actual days and times to be negotiated with the supervisor, with an RDO in accordance with AlburyCity's RDO guidelines.
- This position requires attendance at meetings outside normal work hours.
- This position has the opportunity to carry out the role of an Educational Leader on a rotational basis.
- This position requires you to wear a compulsory uniform as per AlburyCity's Our People Dress Code Standards. Our People are required to present a smart and professional image to the public at all times including when in public and when working remotely.
- This position involves working both indoor and outdoor, along with computer work. The position requires a moderate level of aerobic and physical fitness to undertake regular physical activities such as walking, lifting, pulling, pushing along with the capacity to maintain normal manual handling tasks across the work day - depending on the nature of the tasks undertaken. Appropriate WHS standards will be applied for all manual handing activity. A full functional and medical assessment is required for this position.

- This position is located at Banjora Children's Centre (Cardo Drive, Lavington) with occasional visits to external sites/depots and AlburyCity Administration Building as required
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- Certificate III in Community Services (Children's Services)
- NSW Working with Children Clearance
- Current First Aid Certificate (compulsory to have and maintain)
- Current Accredited Emergency Asthma Management Training (compulsory to have and maintain)
- Current Accredited Anaphylaxis Management Training (compulsory to have and maintain)
- Complete National Mandatory Child Safe Training prior to starting
DESIRABLE CRITERIA
- Class C (standard) Drivers Licence
EXPERIENCE:
- Relevant experience as a Child Care Educator in a Long Day Care centre
SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Sound knowledge of child development
- Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework as well as the National Quality Framework
- The ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To assist with the provision of education programs which meet the developmental, cultural and special needs of individual children attending the centre.
- To be actively involved with all children assisting them to cope with the daily routines and develop their skills.
- To complete children's daily record sheets and record attendance details for children.
- To uphold the Education and Care Services National Regulations.
- To report on all maintenance and equipment needs and replacements.
- To follow housekeeping practices which ensures that equipment is maintained at an optimal level.
- To be responsible for cleaning in relation to the group.
- Perform other tasks or duties as directed by the Supervisor which are within the limits of the employee's skill, competence and training.
- To observe AlburyCity's commitment to being a child safe organisation, creating safe environments that minimise the risk of harm with a zero tolerance for child abuse, violence and neglect.
- Observe requirements of the WHS Legislation, relevant to the job and adhere to AlburyCity Policies and Procedures regarding WHS.
- Observe appropriate AlburyCity Policies and Procedures regarding day to day operations including Equal Employment Opportunity policies, AlburyCity's Dress Code and Standards Policy and AlburyCity's Code of Conduct.
