The Role

The Operation's Assistant supports the members of the multi disciplinary team by the setting up equipment, helping to positioning patients and cleaning of used equipment within the operating suite. They are also expected to transport patients, goods and specimens to various departments within the organisation. These duties need to be undertaken in an efficient and courteous manner.

Selection Criteria
  1. Demonstrated ability to work effectively and communicate as a team member.
  2. Demonstrates ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure.
  3. Demonstrated ability to follow procedures correctly and take direction from other members of the multi disciplinary team.
  4. Ability to undertake manual handling tasks and meet physical demands of the role.
  5. Basic Computer skills
  6. Ability to work a rotating roster
