About the Role

Are you a proactive and detail-oriented logistics professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment? We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Hallam- Melbourne, to coordinate domestic and predominantly international customer shipments, ensuring products are delivered accurately and on time. The role will work closely with freight forwarders, overseas offices, customers, and teams across Supply Chain, Projects, Production, and Customer Service to manage shipments from dispatch through to final delivery. This role also offers valuable cross-training opportunities within Customer Service and Administration, providing broader exposure to customer order management and business operations

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate domestic and international freight bookings across air, sea, and road transport.
  • Prepare and manage dispatch documentation, shipment files, and picking lists.
  • Create and maintain export documentation, including Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin, and other export-related documentation.
  • Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and overseas offices to ensure smooth shipment execution.
  • Monitor and track shipments, proactively communicating updates and resolving delivery issues.
  • Coordinate deliveries to meet customer requirements and project timelines.
  • Maintain accurate logistics records, schedules, and shipment documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with general administrative activities.
  • Provide support to the Customer Service team during peak periods.

Qualification and experience

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in logistics, freight coordination, export shipping, or a similar role.
  • Experience coordinating international air and sea freight shipments.
  • Strong knowledge of shipping and export documentation requirements.
  • Experience working with freight forwarders, customs processes, and international logistics providers.
  • Experience using ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience advantageous).
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
  • Experience in manufacturing, engineering, food, packaging, or industrial environments will be highly regarded.
