The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Business Manager to lead our operation at AMA Collision Phillip. Reporting to the State Area Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the site, ensuring operational efficiency, production excellence, financial success, and a strong safety and customer-focused culture. You'll lead a skilled team, optimise business processes, manage site profitability, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that support sustainable growth. Key Responsibilities Operational & Production Management Lead the day-to-day operations of the site, ensuring productivity, workflow efficiency, and timely job completion. Monitor production performance against targets, identifying opportunities to improve throughput, utilisation, and operational outcomes. Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance process efficiency, customer experience, and business performance. Manage resource planning, scheduling, and capacity to maximise productivity and profitability. Financial Management & Commercial Performance Take ownership of site financial performance, ensuring profitability and strong commercial outcomes. Prepare, review, and analyse Profit & Loss statements, budgets, forecasts, job costing, KPIs, and management reports. Identify performance trends and implement corrective actions to achieve operational and financial objectives. Monitor costs, productivity, margins, and resource utilisation to deliver sustainable business results. Quality, Compliance & Process Excellence Ensure robust operational processes and quality standards are consistently maintained. Oversee quoting accuracy, job management processes, quality assurance, and delivery standards. Drive accountability across the business through effective systems, reporting, and process management. Maintain compliance with company policies, industry requirements, and regulatory obligations. Leadership & People Management Lead, coach, and develop a diverse team, fostering a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Manage workforce planning, recruitment, performance management, and employee development. Promote strong team engagement and create an environment where employees can thrive and succeed. Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, customers, and work providers. Work Health & Safety Champion a strong safety culture across the site. Ensure compliance with all WHS systems, policies, and procedures. Proactively manage risks and ensure safety incidents and near misses are appropriately reported and addressed. What We're Looking For Proven experience in an Operations Manager, Business Manager, Production Manager, or similar leadership role. Strong operational and production management experience within a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated financial acumen, including experience managing budgets, P&Ls, forecasting, KPIs, and cost control. Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams. Strong process improvement, workflow optimisation, and problem-solving capabilities. Commercially minded with a focus on achieving operational and financial targets. Automotive, manufacturing, production, transport, trade services, or related industry experience highly regarded. Relevant trade qualification or industry experience preferred.
