  • Casual position - Working across Box Hill South & Wantirna South sites
  • Flexibility to work between 9:00am-7:30pm on weekdays & 11:00am-4:00pm on Saturdays
  • $40.49 p/Hour + 12% Super + Casual Loading + Not-for-Profit Salary Packaging benefits


Help young people build connection, confidence and hope
Join Each's Integrated Therapeutic Community (ITC) program, where you'll work alongside young people aged 12-25 experiencing significant mental health challenges, social disconnection, housing instability and complex support needs. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll provide practical, therapeutic and recovery-focused support that empowers young people to build on their strengths and create positive change in their lives.


Your role, your impact
As a Youth and Family Worker, you'll play an important role in supporting young people within a therapeutic residential and community-based environment. Through relationship-based practice, recovery-focused support and collaboration with families and services, you'll help young people navigate challenges and strengthen their wellbeing.

You will:

  • Build trusted relationships with young people through strengths-based, person-centred support
  • Provide direct therapeutic and recovery-focused support to young people experiencing complex mental health and wellbeing needs
  • Support individual recovery goals by working collaboratively with young people, families, carers and professional support networks
  • Facilitate evidence-informed group programs that promote connection, resilience and personal growth
  • Coordinate care and referrals with health, housing and community services to achieve positive outcomes
  • Support young people transitioning into and out of residential recovery programs

Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide integrated support across youth and family services.


About you
You'll bring compassion, strong relationship-building skills and a genuine commitment to supporting young people from diverse backgrounds.

You have:

  • Experience working therapeutically with young people and families
  • Strong understanding of youth mental health, trauma-informed, recovery-oriented and person-centred practice
  • Experience supporting people experiencing complex needs, including mental health concerns and housing instability
  • High emotional intelligence and the ability to tailor your work to meet the unique needs of young people
  • Demonstrated understanding of the context and systems associated with mental health and youth development
  • Understanding of the experiences and needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, LGBTIQA+ communities, people with disability, neurodivergent people, and people from diverse cultural backgrounds

Qualifications

  • A tertiary qualification in Social Work or other relevant discipline/profession
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certification
  • Current Victorian Driver Licence
