About the Role
Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent, you’ll maintaining geological information and provide support to operational teams. You’ll provide hands on expertise in mine geology, coal quality, mapping, modelling and daily operational interactions.
What You’ll Do
- Maintain and update the geological model for current and future mining areas.
- Conduct geotechnical inspections and geological mapping (horizon control, coal quality, structure).
- Provide timely geological information to operational personnel.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe work environment and follow site risk management practices.
- Liaise with mine management and support technical services activities as required.
What You’ll Bring
- Tertiary qualification in Geology or related discipline
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Understanding of safe work practices and a proactive approach to safety.
- Previous open cut mining experience
