About the Role We are seeking an enthusiastic, personable, and professional Venue Host to join our front-of-house team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and seamless arrival experience while supporting the daily operations of the venue. Key Responsibilities Welcome guests with a warm, friendly, and professional attitude. Manage reservations and seating using our booking system. Coordinate guest arrivals and waitlists efficiently. Communicate effectively with restaurant, bar, and floor teams to ensure smooth service. Answer guest enquiries in person, over the phone, and via email. Provide accurate information about the venue, menus, and events. Assist with special occasions and VIP guest experiences. Maintain a polished reception area and uphold venue presentation standards. Resolve guest concerns professionally and escalate issues where required. About You We're looking for someone who: Has a genuine passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences. Presents professionally with outstanding communication skills. Thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Is organised, proactive, and able to multitask. Remains calm and positive under pressure. Works collaboratively as part of a team. Has flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays. Preferred Experience Previous experience as a host, receptionist, or front-of-house team member in a premium hospitality venue. Experience using reservation platforms such as SevenRooms, OpenTable, or similar. Strong customer service background. Valid Australian working rights.
