About the role As a Design Manager, you will lead the delivery of multidisciplinary engineering design services across complex energy and infrastructure projects. Working closely with project, commercial and client stakeholders, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality design outcomes are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with project objectives. You will provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, balancing engineering excellence with commercial performance, while fostering collaboration across diverse project teams. This role offers the opportunity to influence critical energy infrastructure projects that support Australia's energy transition, drive innovation in design delivery, and contribute to the successful execution of large-scale projects across Zinfra's portfolio. You will also play a key role in strengthening stakeholder relationships, supporting project governance, and promoting continuous improvement across design processes and project outcomes. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Leading multidisciplinary design teams to achieve successful project outcomes. Managing design scope, budgets and project schedules throughout delivery. Providing technical direction and ensuring integration across engineering disciplines. Collaborating with project management and commercial teams to support delivery objectives. Engaging and managing subconsultants throughout the design lifecycle. Resolving commercial and design delivery issues, including variations and scope changes. Building strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders while presenting technical solutions. Overseeing design governance, quality assurance, compliance and approval processes. Supporting bids, proposals, innovation initiatives and continuous improvement activities. About you To be selected for interview your resume should highlight your experience leading engineering design delivery within complex infrastructure, utilities or energy environments. You will demonstrate a strong track record of managing multidisciplinary teams, balancing technical, commercial and project delivery requirements, and building trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders. Your ability to manage competing priorities, navigate project challenges, and deliver high-quality design solutions within budget and schedule constraints will be highly regarded. Ensure your resume shares details of: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline. Extensive experience within engineering design environments. Experience leading and coordinating multidisciplinary design teams. Demonstrated success delivering complex infrastructure, utilities or energy projects. Strong understanding of design management processes and project lifecycles. Experience managing project scope, budgets, schedules and commercial considerations.
