Mechanic -Fleet

• $55/h +$5K sign on bonus + $5K Quarterly bonus + overtime opportunities
• Permanent full-time position based in Holtze, NT
• Work on a diverse fleet of heavy vehicles, trailers and mobile equipment

The Opportunity

As a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operations. Your day will include:

• Carrying out scheduled preventative maintenance and repairs
• We offer both AM and PM shifts to support operational requirements. You'll also participate in an on-call roster approximately once every six weeks
• Servicing trucks, trailers and heavy mobile equipment
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
• Test driving and operating equipment to confirm repairs have been completed successfully
• Replacing and repairing defective components
• Maintaining high safety and quality standards in the workshop

About You

We're looking for a safety-focused mechanic who enjoys working in a collaborative team environment and takes pride in delivering quality workmanship.

You'll bring:

• Certificate III in Automotive (Mechanical - Heavy Vehicle Road Transport) or Light Vehicle Mechanic qualification
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics and mechanical systems
• Heavy Rigid (HR) Licence (highly regarded)
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement
• The ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
