Job Description
About the Role
As a Group Reservations Agent, you will be the primary point of contact for coordinating, managing, and executing group bookings-from corporate conferences and weddings to tour groups and special events. You'll ensure every detail is handled with precision, delivering a flawless experience from inquiry through to arrival.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate group reservations from initial enquiry through to departure
- Liaise with sales, front office, and events teams to ensure smooth execution
- Input and maintain accurate booking data in reservation systems
- Monitor room allocations, rates, contracts, and cut-off dates
- Prepare rooming lists, reports, and group arrivals
- Handle special requests, changes, and last-minute adjustments professionally
- Deliver excellent customer service to clients, agents, and internal stakeholders
Qualifications
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in hotel reservations, front desk, or events coordination
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to manage multiple bookings and deadlines simultaneously
- Familiarity with hotel PMS systems (Opera Cloud experience highly regarded)
- Group block management
- A positive attitude and passion for delivering exceptional guest service
