Due to continued growth and site expansion, Sedgman is seeking experienced CHPP Operator Maintainers with either an Electrical or Mechanical background.

About the Role

Reporting to the Production Superintendent, you will play a key role in the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of the CHPP while supporting plant performance and reliability targets.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Operating the CHPP in accordance with site procedures and production targets.
  • Conducting routine inspections and identifying equipment defects.
  • Performing breakdown maintenance and supporting planned maintenance activities.
  • Monitoring plant performance and taking corrective action where required.
  • Clearing blockages from chutes, pumps, screens, crushers, conveyors, sumps and associated plant equipment.
  • Operating mobile equipment safely around fixed plant and stockpile areas.
  • Contributing to a strong safety culture and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • An Australian recognised Electrical or Mechanical trade qualification.
  • Previous experience in mining, minerals processing or heavy industry.
  • The ability to work a rotating day and night shift roster.
  • A strong commitment to safety, teamwork and reliability.
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Supervisor Training (S123) highly regarded but not essential.
