Currently, we have a fantastic 2-year fixed-term opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven professional to join the Procurement & Property team as a Procurement Governance & Systems - Manager. About the role: You will lead and manage the governance, development, implementation and continual improvement of Water Corporation's Procurement Governance and Assurance Framework, including procurement policies, controls, compliance monitoring, assurance activities, systems, processes and responsible sourcing framework. The role is responsible for strengthening procurement governance, ensuring regulatory and policy compliance, supporting audit activities and remediation programs, mitigating procurement, risk, and reviewing control effectiveness across the procurement function. You will also provide governance reporting and insights to senior leadership, while driving capability development, governance education and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance accountability, compliance and procurement maturity across the organisation. What you can expect with this role Lead the establishment, implementation and continual improvement of the Procurement Governance and Assurance Framework. Conduct assurance activities to monitor compliance with procurement policies, standards, controls and legislative requirements. Develop and maintain procurement policies, standards and guidelines to strengthen governance and regulatory compliance. Lead the mitigation of procurement fraud, corruption and integrity risks. Manage procurement audit activities, including the remediation and monitoring of audit findings and recommendations. Provide governance reporting, compliance insights and risk intelligence to senior leadership to support informed decision-making. Lead and develop the team responsible for procurement systems, driving system governance, capability uplift, continuous improvement and the effective delivery of procurement technology solutions that support compliant and efficient procurement outcomes across the organisation. Your skills and experience Degree level qualification in a relevant discipline and substantial experience in leading procurement systems, systems support and enablement functions. Extensive experience in leading procurement systems, system support and enablement functions. Substantial experience in the management of provision of procurement and contracting systems and application support services. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing procurement processes and business application procedures. Demonstrated capabilities to project manage and deploy procurement and supply chain systems change initiatives and support application implementation. Knowledge in the management and provision of procurement and contracting systems/ applications support services Sound working knowledge of a computerised procurement, e-procurement or logistics management systems (eg Sap R/3 MM, SRM, PLM, RPA).
