Senior HSE Advisor
UGL is a leading provider of engineering, construction and maintenance services supporting some of Australia's most critical infrastructure.
We are seeking an experienced Senior HSE to support a major utilities operations and maintenance contract in Western Australia. Working closely with supervisors, frontline crews and operational leaders, you will provide practical HSE leadership across HV electrical and utility infrastructure works, influence safe work practices and drive positive safety outcomes.

The Role
Reporting to the HSE Operations Manager, you will support the delivery of HSE initiatives across a geographically dispersed workforce. Through regular engagement with supervisors, operational leaders and field teams, you will provide practical advice, conduct assurance activities, lead incident investigations and support the effective management of critical risks.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with supervisors, frontline crews and operational leaders to drive safe work practices and a strong safety culture.
Provide practical HSE leadership across HV electrical, utility and infrastructure maintenance activities.
Conduct field inspections, critical control verifications and assurance activities to support safe delivery of work.
Lead incident investigations, identify lessons learned and support effective implementation of corrective actions.
Coach and influence operational teams while supporting audits, contractor management and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
Diploma in Work Health & Safety (or related discipline), ICAM investigation training and a current Driver's Licence.
Proven HSE experience within electricity distribution, HV electrical infrastructure, utilities, construction, maintenance or other high-risk operational environments.
Demonstrated ability to build credibility with supervisors and frontline crews and positively influence safety behaviours.
Strong understanding of critical risk management, contractor management, incident investigation and field assurance activities.
Knowledge of HV electrical risks, isolation practices and electrical safety requirements highly regarded.
Excellent communication and coaching skills, with a practical and solutions-focused approach.
