Apply Job no: NY86J Category: Store Support Centre Build and embed a strong safety culture across a national retail network Play a key role in a safety transformation, including new system implementation Blend trusted BAU partnering with strategic change and continuous improvement As our Safety Partner, you'll play a critical role in shaping and embedding a proactive safety culture across our national network - supporting more than 1,500+ team members across retail stores, our National Distribution Centre and Store Support Centre. Reporting to the Safety & Wellbeing Manager, you'll work closely with Operations, Store Support Centre, DC teams and cross-functional stakeholders to embed safety into everyday decision-making - balancing hands-on BAU safety partnering with broader transformation initiatives that uplift how safety is delivered across the business. What you'll be doing Safety Leadership & Culture Champion a proactive, positive safety culture across all sites Coach leaders to build capability, ownership and accountability Lead safety initiatives including campaigns, toolbox talks and engagement activities Risk Management & Compliance Maintain and uplift the Safety Management System Conduct and support risk assessments across stores and operations Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, codes and internal standards Operational Safety & Store Support Support stores with safety audits, inspections and best practice implementation Provide guidance on safe work practices, equipment use and hazard management Partner on store refurbishments, contractor management and safe design Incident Management & Prevention Lead or support incident investigations and root cause analysis Identify trends and systemic risks to inform prevention strategies Ensure emergency processes, training and readiness are maintained Reporting & Continuous Improvement Analyse safety data, trends and audit outcomes Prepare reports and insights for leadership Track corrective actions and drive continuous improvement initiatives About You Strong experience in a multi-site safety role (retail, logistics or similar) Solid knowledge of WHS legislation and compliance frameworks Skilled in incident investigation, risk assessment and auditing Confident communicator who can influence and coach stakeholders Practical, solutions-focused and comfortable balancing safety and operations Highly organised with strong attention to detail Valid driver's licence and ability to travel What's in it for you We're accelerating growth across AU & NZ - when we grow, you grow Training and development to support your career progression Employee & family discounts across our range Access to team member benefits (fuel, groceries, entertainment & more) Paid parental leave for primary & secondary carers Hybrid working (3 days office / 2 days home) Annual flu shots Employee Assistance Program for wellbeing support A collaborative, supportive team environment About Us Baby Bunting is Australia's largest nursery specialty retailer - but we're much more than that.
