Senior Section Waiter

Purpose

As a Senior Section Waiter, you will deliver exceptional dining experiences by confidently managing your own section while providing warm, polished and intuitive service. With a passion for hospitality and a keen eye for detail, you'll guide guests through our menu, recommend food and beverage pairings, and create memorable moments from arrival to departure.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage your own section of up to 8 tables (approximately 20 guests), delivering seamless, attentive service throughout every stage of the dining experience.
• Create memorable guest experiences through warm, professional service, anticipating guest needs and confidently recommending menu items, cocktails and wine.
• Ensure exceptional presentation standards, accurate course timing and close collaboration with the kitchen, bar and host teams to maintain smooth service.
• Build strong knowledge of the food and beverage offering, including ingredients, cooking techniques, dietary requirements and beverage pairings.
• Take pride in maintaining a clean, organised service environment while contributing to a positive, high-performing team culture.

Skills and Experience

• 2-4 years' experience in premium or fine dining restaurants, including at least 2 years as a waiter or food & beverage attendant in an established restaurant.
• Warm, confident communication skills with a genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable dining experiences.
• Strong food and beverage knowledge, including dietary requirements, cocktails and foundational wine knowledge.
• Excellent time management with the ability to remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Current RSA certification (or equivalent), professional presentation, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
