Technical Lead, Client Delivery | On-site in Sydney CBD 4x/week | Contract or Full-Time

The Role:

We are seeking a Technical Lead, Client Delivery based in Sydney to support a high-visibility client engagement in the Sydney CBD area. This person will serve as Tech Holding's on-site technical and delivery presence with the client, helping ensure strong communication, alignment, and execution across local stakeholders and global delivery teams.

This is not a purely engineering role. We need someone who can operate as a trusted local leader, build strong relationships with client stakeholders, understand business priorities, help shape strategy, and guide technical delivery across teams.

The ideal candidate has a strong technical background with TypeScript, Node.js, and cloud-based development, preferably with GCP. They should be hands-on enough to guide engineering direction, review solutions, and support technical decision-making, while also being senior enough to interact confidently with C-level executives, VPs, and client technology leaders.

This person will play a key role in representing Tech Holding locally, building trust with client stakeholders, and helping drive successful delivery across local and global teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as Tech Holding's on-site technical and delivery presence with the client in Sydney.
• Work on-site in the Sydney CBD area 4 days per week.
• Partner directly with C-level executives, VPs, and senior technology stakeholders to understand goals, align expectations, and communicate progress.
• Build strong client relationships through clear communication, ownership, and consistent on-site presence.
• Lead and coordinate delivery across local and global teams.
• Help shape project strategy, technical direction, delivery plans, and execution priorities.
• Translate business and stakeholder needs into clear technical plans and actionable workstreams.
• Provide technical direction across TypeScript, Node.js, GCP, and modern cloud-based development.
• Guide technical teams while remaining hands-on enough to review solutions, challenge assumptions, and support technical decision-making.
• Identify risks, dependencies, blockers, and delivery concerns early and communicate them clearly.
• Support strong coordination and leadership across local client stakeholders and distributed delivery teams.

Required Skills:

• Strong experience as a Tech Lead, Engineering Lead, Technical Delivery Lead, Delivery Lead, or similar client-facing technical leadership role.
• Hands-on technical background with TypeScript, Node.js, and modern application development.
• Experience with GCP or similar cloud platforms.
• Proven ability to communicate with senior stakeholders, including C-level executives, VPs, and technology leaders.
• Experience leading or coordinating distributed teams across multiple regions.
• Strong delivery ownership with the ability to balance technical execution, client communication, and strategic planning.
• Ability to build trust with client stakeholders and represent the company professionally on-site.
• Comfortable leading both senior-level conversations and day-to-day coordination with technical teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills, sound technical judgment, and the ability to operate with a high degree of ownership.
• Able to work on-site in Sydney CBD 4 days per week.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in real estate technology, proptech, property management platforms, brokerage platforms, leasing systems, or adjacent real estate domains.
• Prior consulting, professional services, or client-facing delivery experience.
• Experience acting as a local lead or key client-facing representative for a technical engagement.
• Experience with cloud architecture, APIs, microservices, or distributed systems.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and modern engineering workflows.
