We are currently seeking an Assistant Finance Analyst to join our Finance team based in Fortitude Valley. Reporting to the Business Partnering team, this role will support the delivery of financial reporting, analysis and insights to assist business leaders in making informed commercial decisions.

This opportunity is well suited to someone early in their finance career who is looking to gain exposure within a fast-paced global professional services environment and develop strong commercial finance capability.

What you will be doing

  • Assist with the preparation and delivery of weekly and monthly financial reporting
  • Prepare, analyse and reconcile financial data, producing both standard and ad hoc reports
  • Support commercial and project analysis, including assistance with tender pricing
  • Contribute to the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting activities
  • Respond to queries from business units by providing clear and accurate financial information
  • Extract and analyse financial data from ERP and operational systems
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across reporting processes and internal controls
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders across the business in a fast-paced environment

What you will bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline
  • Approximately 2+ years of experience in a finance or management accounting role
  • Experience within public practice looking to transition into commercial industry will be considered favourably
  • Strong Excel capability, including pivot tables, lookups and basic financial modelling
  • Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
  • Clear communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders
  • Ability to work with multiple data sources and manage competing priorities
