We now have a rare opportunity for an experienced Publicist to join our team in SYDNEY.
This is a permanent full-time role and ready for an immediate start.

Enough about us! What you'll do as a Senior National Publicist:

As a National Senior Publicist at Paramount ANZ, you will be responsible for the planning, development and delivery of targeted strategies for publicising and profiling our content and associated talent across all of the platforms of Paramount ANZ, including Network 10, Paramount+, MTV, Nickelodeon and 10 Streaming.

This is an exciting, high-profile role and requires significant experience in a similar role with demonstrated skills and knowledge of new media and innovation, not just traditional media.

You'll be busy doing things like this:

  • Developingand implementingcommunicationstrategiesfor ParamountANZprograms and talent,achievinghigh-level placementsacrossprint, broadcast,online,digitaland socialchannels.
  • Pitchingnew ideasandconsideringinnovative ways ofpositivelyraising the profile of Paramount content and talentto create"buzz" and get people talking.
  • Building connections with key media organisations and journalistsacross bothtraditionaland non-traditionalplatforms.
  • Buildingand fosteringconnections with key social media content creators and influencers to generate earned and paidsocialmedia coverage across Instagram,Facebook, TikTok, XandYouTube.
  • Actively exploring andidentifyingnew and interesting avenues for communicating effectively and imaginatively withviewers, wherever they are, to reach both established and new audiences.
  • Co-ordinating and overseeing talent interviews, screenings,launchesand briefings.
  • Writing clear,conciseand engaging media information for shows, including press releases, media kits, and lines against enquiry,adaptingyourwritingstyle to reflect the tone oftheprogram.
  • Anticipating and managing issues with a potentially negative impact and handling reactivecrisis communications when required.
  • Establishing andmaintainingpositiveand effective working relationships with a wide range of talent, agents, media,production, content creators, influencers, personalpublicistsand unit publicists.
  • Briefing talent in advance of interviews, photoshootsand events.

What are we looking for in a National Senior Publicist? What's important?

Skills and Experience:

  • 4+yearsworking in a similar role,ideally in the media or entertainment industry.
  • Experienceinawide range ofcommunicationsfunctionswith an establishedtrack recordof delivering high profile and impactful publicity campaigns,including an understanding of digital communicationsand crisis management.
  • An understanding of the media and television landscape and genuine passion for it
  • Establishedpositiverelationships with media organisations and journalists,anda deep knowledge ofbothtraditionaland newdigital and social media channels.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing,socialmediaor Advertisingwould be highly regarded

The person:

  • Creative, havingthe ability to think differentlywith an"out of the box"approach.
  • Tenacious,proactive,with strong organisationaland planning skills
  • Able to work at pace and adapt to changing deadlines
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail, highly invested in producing outstanding work
