About the Role
You will be working at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. It is one of the nation's most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history of serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Social Work Department at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. This temporary part-time position is located within our Women's and Children's Health Team. The team covers maternity, the birthing unit, neonatal intensive care, paediatrics, fertility, feotal medicine and the antenatal clinic. You will be part of a large, dedicated and highly skilled department working with culturally and socially diverse patients and their families. The position is also required to provide support to other areas within the hospital as required, and applicants are advised that at times the position involves working with vulnerable people and people experiencing trauma. This may include supporting parents experiencing perinatal and pregnancy loss.
Applicants are also advised that this position includes ongoing participation in the after-hours on call crisis service, including weekends.

Ideal Candidate
- Holds a Bachelor or post graduate degree in Social Work that provides eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse problems, set priorities and apply a range of options to develop solutions.
