About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for two Allied Health Assistant roles to contribute to a new service, Burudyara Forensic Mental Health Unit. These roles will involve supporting the allied health team at Burudyara Forensic Mental Health Unit. Duties will include facilitating therapeutic group activities, supporting rehabilitation and skill development, assisting with community reintegration including navigating welfare systems, and completing tasks as allocated.

The aim of this role is to assist Allied Health Professionals in the provision of high quality services to patients/clients and carers in order to ensure optimal health outcomes for the patients/clients of the service by providing clinical and /or administrative support.

The ideal Candidate

  • Equivalent work experience in an allied health or health related setting and/or successful completion of Certificate III or Certificate IV Allied Health Assistant or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer.
  • Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy.
  • Current NSW driver's licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).
