About the role:

Murrumbidgee Local Health District is looking for passionate Podiatrist to join our High-Risk Foot Clinic team.
As a Senior Podiatrist you will have recognised high level clinical skills enabling you to work across a range of clinical areas with the ability to perform novel, complex and critical clinical services to patients, families and carers with a high level of professional knowledge.

As the Senior Podiatrist, you will be responsible for:

  • Provision of a comprehensive podiatry service for the High Risk Foot Service and Wagga Wagga Aged Care Service

  • Maintaining appropriate and accurate Podiatry activity statistics.

  • Maintaining personal and professional development by participating in evidence-based practice activities, training/education, clinical supervision and performance reviews in order to continuously improve the level and quality of service.

  • Day to day management of the Podiatry team and/or local service and active contribution to the Podiatry Network.

  • Involvement in the planning, implementation and evaluation of services and identification, development and leading of clinical practice and quality improvement activities with other staff.

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  1. A Tertiary Qualification in Podiatry with current registration with AHPRA to practice as a Podiatrist

  2. Expert clinical knowledge and post-graduate experience in the management of high risk foot pathology (including ulceration, infection, neuro-arthropathy, and post-amputation management).

  3. Experience in developing and implementing policies and procedures for service improvement and skills in providing training and education

  4. Well-developed time management skills with excellent written and verbal communication, including report writing skills
