Delaware North Australia is hiring a full-time Manager Events to join our award-winning events team at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). Some venues host events. The MCG makes them unforgettable. In this rare opportunity, you will play a key role in driving our thriving non-match day business, taking ownership of high-value client relationships and acting as the vital link between clients, our culinary department, and operations team. You'll be at the heart of delivering exceptional events at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground, one of Australia's most recognised and celebrated venues. As the driving force behind client events, you'll own relationships from initial enquiry through to event-day delivery, acting as the vital link between clients, our culinary team, and operations. From developing event orders and floor plans to coordinating internal communications, you'll ensure every detail comes together seamlessly to create unforgettable experiences at the 'G.

What you will do?
- Own high-value client relationships from confirmation of booking through the planning process, partnering with Operations who lead event-day execution.
- Curate and shape events with creativity, taking them beyond guest expectations
- Develop event orders and floor plans, and coordinate across culinary and operations teams
- Represent the Delaware North brand with clients and suppliers
- Stay ahead of event trends locally, nationally, and internationally
More about you
- Extensive client management experience and a talent for elevating event briefs
- Sharp time management and the ability to prioritise a demanding, growing portfolio
- Genuine passion for and strong knowledge of food and beverage
- Excellent communication skills and confidence working across multiple departments
- Proficiency with event platforms such as Momentus (Ungerboeck) and Microsoft Office
- Availability to work Monday to Friday
