About the role
We have an opportunity for a Senior Business Consultant to be part of our Enterprise Resource Planning Platform, Technology Communication & Services Command. The Senior Business Consultant will assist business units to improve efficiency of operations, deliver effective customer services and support the achievement of organisational goals through reviewing business streams, systems and processes, making recommendations, and implementing and evaluating business improvement projects.
The New South Wales Police Force is undertaking the planning phase of a comprehensive ERP Program, with the SAP Upgrade Project aimed at transitioning to a more sustainable future state. This strategic initiative aims to modernise and optimise the technical foundation of the core ERP environment, ensuring it remains robust, secure, and aligned with evolving technology standards and organisational requirements. The uplift will not only enable the retirement of legacy systems but also drive improved efficiency, resilience, and effectiveness across critical business processes within the NSWPF. The ERP Program is seeking a Senior Business Consultant, Finance Specialist. The role will be responsible for ensuring finance-related business requirements are translated into effective SAP solutions that align with NSWPF strategic objectives and industry best practices. The position will also play a key role in supporting the SAP Upgrade Project and ERP roadmap by driving business process improvement, solution optimisation, stakeholder engagement, and successful delivery outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Provide expert functional support, configuration, and service delivery for SAP Finance modules, ensuring solutions align with business objectives.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, BAU, and project teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement system enhancements.
Analyse and resolve finance system issues, ensuring the stability, integrity, and performance of SAP Finance applications and integrations.
Support ERP upgrade and transformation initiatives through solution design, testing, documentation, and successful delivery of business outcomes.
About You (Preferred Requirements & Capabilities)
Demonstrated experience configuring and supporting SAP ECC or S/4HANA Finance modules
Must have experience supporting SAP Finance integrated with payroll and/or other custom solutions
Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into practical and sustainable SAP solutions.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with experience supporting ERP upgrade, transformation, or implementation programs.
