Senior Claims Consultant
Overview
Due to exciting growth within our General Insurance division, we are currently recruiting multiple Senior Claims Consultants to support our Specialty and Long Tail teams within the General Insurance division. In this role, you will manage a portfolio of complex and high-value claims, providing technical expertise and driving strategic resolution outcomes.
You will act as a subject matter expert across Specialty and Long Tail claims, including General Liability and complex risk exposures, while supporting team capability and influencing best practice claims handling.
How you'll make an impact
On a day to day basis, you will:
- Manage a portfolio of complex and litigated Specialty and Long Tail claims.
- Provide technical expertise on coverage, liability and claim strategy.
- Drive negotiations and settlements for high-value or sensitive claims.
- Work closely with legal providers and stakeholders on disputed matters.
- Identify and implement early resolution and risk mitigation strategies.
- Mentor and support Claims Consultants to uplift capability.
- Provide insights on portfolio trends, risks and opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal and policy requirements.
About you
About You
We are looking for experienced claims professional with demonstrated expertise in Specialty and Long Tail general insurance. You bring strong technical capability, commercial acumen and the ability to manage complex and sensitive claims independently.
We’re looking for:
- Significant experience, ideally 5 years, in General Insurance claims, with exposure to Specialty and Long Tail portfolios.
- Strong knowledge of General Liability and complex claims environments.
- Demonstrated experience managing litigated or high-value claims.
- Advanced negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to provide technical guidance and mentor others.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to develop strategic claim approaches.
- Deep understanding of insurance policy interpretation and regulatory frameworks.
