Account Manager

Your role in a nutshell

In this role you will be solely responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, driving additional revenue and new business projects.

You will unite multi-disciplined teams, provide coaching and support to Account Executives on communication opportunities, and have a working knowledge of VML Commerce planning tools.

Key Responsibilities

For our business to work, you will be required to spend time on certain areas of the business. Your key responsibilities are as follows:

• Support the Account Director in managing a portfolio of clients and identifying growth opportunities.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with key client stakeholders.
• Lead cross-functional teams to deliver integrated marketing and communications projects.
• Prepare clear project and creative briefs, ensuring successful project delivery from briefing to completion.
• Manage project timelines, priorities, budgets, and escalate risks where required.
• Coordinate and mentor Account Executives and support team members.
• Ensure all work meets client objectives, quality standards, and agreed deadlines.
• Provide strategic communication advice based on client needs, market trends, and consumer insights.
• Apply knowledge of integrated communication channels to deliver effective campaigns.
• Contribute to agency initiatives, commercial outcomes, and new business opportunities.

Required Experience/Skills/Capabilities

• Strong and proven experience at a similar level in advertising, marketing, or related business role.
• Basic working knowledge of key multi-touch point communication programmes.
• Advanced computer and IT skills including use of key Microsoft software programmes including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• For Regional Roles: Advanced English language skills required for business purposes. Fluency is a clear advantage for international clients.
