Client Manager – Aviation

What the day will look like

As Client Manager – Aviation, you will be a trusted advisor to some of Aon Australia’s largest global and corporate clients, delivering specialist aviation insurance solutions and insights. You will drive new business and growth while managing a portfolio of complex aviation accounts and collaborating closely with colleagues across Aon’s branch network and international markets.

Key responsibilities include

  • Generating Aviation new business both directly and through the branch network
  • Regularly providing insight for aviation risks within Aon Australia’s largest global and corporate clients
  • Delivering direct and indirect specialist Aviation advice to clients
  • Developing renewal strategies for complex Aviation programs
  • Managing Aviation specialty renewals and new business directly through key client meetings
  • Continuing strong working relationships with London and international insurers
  • Being responsible for production of specialty Aviation market research and analysis, and market updates for distribution to clients and the network
  • Delivering specialist Aviation pipeline and team growth strategy
  • Management and training of ACS support staff
  • Creating greater Aviation insurance understanding in Aon network branches to assist them in new business approaches and drive increased branch revenue in untapped areas
  • Managing a portfolio of specialist Aviation clients
  • Managing key stakeholder relationships and enhancing the client experience
  • Identifying development opportunities for the designated portfolio and designing appropriate servicing solutions
  • Developing new and profitable business
  • Contributing to the strategic direction of the business

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Strong experience in Aviation insurance, including managing complex aviation programs and specialist aviation clients
  • Proven success in developing new and profitable business, including building and managing a sustainable pipeline
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute renewal and servicing strategies while enhancing the client experience
  • Excellent relationship management skills, with experience working across internal networks, senior stakeholders and international insurance markets (including London)
  • Leadership capabilities, including coaching and developing support staff and contributing to broader team and business strategy
