Strategic Growth Manager
About Zepto:
Zepto is a rapidly-scaling provider of real-time, account-to-account payments solutions for merchants, and is reimagining the way money moves through the always-on, digital-first economy.
Our growing team across Australia allows for like-minded, talented, passionate people motivated to help us deliver on our brand promise to #LevelThePayingField.
At Zepto we believe in the power of positive human experiences, and that a deep sense of belonging creates cohesion in our culture. So, even in a remote-first team, you will be a contributor and custodian of that culture. You will also enjoy solving complex problems, and play a key role in creating something truly special as we focus on delivering 'a better way to pay' at Zepto.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Head of Strategic Growth, as a Strategic Growth Manager you'll play a pivotal role in fostering and expanding relationships with key enterprise clients of Zepto. Your experience will enable you to demonstrate a unique blend of strategic thinking, client relationship management, and business acumen to drive Zepto's success and achieve revenue targets. You'll also serve as the primary liaison between our company and our enterprise clients, ensuring their needs are understood, their expectations are met, and their businesses thrive through our solutions and services.
This role sits within our mighty Commercial team, who are focused on being the leader in account-to-account payments and growing our market share by showcasing how there is a better way to pay with Zepto. Our passion is focused on nurturing relationships with our customers, to ensure positive customer interactions through the delivery of a world class end-to-end merchant experience.
While Zepto has a national footprint, our strong preference is for this role to be based in Sydney.
The Role You'll Play:
Working in a scale-up, means you get the opportunity to flex your skills in a variety of ways. We are agile and always willing to roll up our sleeves to get things done. You can, however, expect your day to day to be involved in the following:
- Strategic Relationship Management: Cultivate deep, trust-based partnerships with key enterprise decision-makers. Serve as their strategic advisor, aligning our solutions with their evolving business goals.
- Revenue Growth & Retention: Drive commercial success by identifying upsell, cross-sell, and expansion opportunities. Lead contract renewals and negotiations to maximise long-term customer value.
- Data-Driven Strategy & ROI Delivery: Conduct regular, high-impact Executive Business Reviews (EBRs). Analyse usage data and key metrics to proactively demonstrate ROI, uncover operational gaps, and map out long-term client success.
- Customer Advocacy: Act as the internal 'voice of the customer'. Collaborate with Product, Sales, and Support teams to turn client feedback into product enhancements and sharing success stories that foster advocacy.
- Scale-Up Leadership & Process Optimisation: Help shape our account management playbook. Mentor other team members, share best practices, and collaborate on internal initiatives to improve team efficiency and scale our operations.
- Proactive Problem Solving: Own the resolution of complex client inquiries and escalations. Look beyond the quick fix - analyse root causes to implement preventative measures and continuously elevate customer satisfaction.
- AI Adoption & Process Scalability: Play a hands-on role in integrating AI into how we work - embracing the setup, documentation, and cross-team alignment of AI tools so our processes are scalable, structured, efficient and built to last beyond any one person.
About you:
Our team is built on helping each other out, while providing practical solutions and advice to our merchants in a consultative manner. In addition, you'll also have:
- Proven track record of success in enterprise account management, strategic sales, or related roles, with a focus on building and nurturing long-term client relationships.
- Strong understanding of enterprise sales processes, contract negotiations, and account planning strategies.
- Experience in the Payments industry is a strong preference.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior-level executives and key stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset and a passion for driving customer success and business growth.
-
Experience with embedding AI tools into the rhythm of daily work.
Let's not forget that you're energised and enthusiastic. You are comfortable with working in a busy, high volume, competitive commercial environment. Your collaboration skills make you a valued member of the team and fundamentally a good colleague to work with.
