Salary range $96,400 - 118,561 plus super

About the role:

You will support the governance, protection and compliance of Hydro Tasmania's information assets. As an IT Information Security Officer, you'll work across the business to embed and monitor information security controls across records, data and document management processes. You'll help ensure information is managed in line with cyber security, privacy and legislative requirements, support incident response and audit activities, and provide guidance on the secure handling of sensitive information. Through collaboration, continuous improvement and risk management, you'll play an important role in strengthening Hydro Tasmania's information security posture and protecting critical business information.

Key Responsibilities

• Embed and monitor information security controls across records, data and document management practices.

• Ensure information assets comply with cyber security, privacy, data protection and legislative requirements.

• Provide expert guidance to stakeholders on the secure handling, storage and access of sensitive information.

• Support incident response, compliance reviews, audits and risk assessments relating to information security.

• Identify opportunities to strengthen information governance, data protection and cyber resilience across the business.

Skills and Experience

• Qualification in Cyber Security, Information Management or similar

• Experience in information security, governance or data protection

• Knowledge of privacy, information governance and compliance

• Experience with document management and secure data systems

• Strong risk analysis and stakeholder communication skills
