The role

We are looking for a high-performing, commercially driven Business Development Executive to grow our SaaS footprint across Australia and New Zealand.

This is a true new business role where you will own pipeline generation, engage school leaders, and convert opportunities into revenue. You will represent a portfolio of education-focused SaaS solutions and play a key role in expanding Tes’ presence in the ANZ market.

You will succeed in this role if you thrive in a high-activity sales environment, enjoy outbound prospecting, and are motivated by consistently achieving and exceeding targets.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Achieving and exceeding sales targets and KPIs
  • Driving high-volume outbound activity to build, manage, and convert pipeline
  • Owning the full sales cycle from prospecting through to close
  • Engaging with school decision-makers to understand needs and position solutions effectively
  • Maintaining accurate forecasts and high-quality CRM data
  • Staying informed on market trends, competitor activity, and customer challenges
  • Expanding Tes’ customer base across ANZ through new business acquisition
  • Identifying and progressing cross-sell opportunities within your portfolio
  • Collaborating closely with Marketing, Product, and Customer teams
  • Attending customer meetings, conferences, and industry events as required

What You’ll Bring

Experience

  • Proven success in B2B sales with a strong track record of exceeding targets
  • Experience working in outbound or high-activity sales environments
  • A clear new business or hunter mindset with a focus on winning
  • Exposure to SaaS or the K–12 education sector is highly regarded

Skills

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport and credibility quickly
  • Confidence in handling objections and asking for commitment
  • Ability to uncover customer needs and clearly articulate value
  • Resilient, self-motivated, and results-focused
  • High level of ownership and accountability for performance
  • Comfortable managing multiple stakeholders, products, and priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and disciplined CRM usage
