About the Role Stronger Ground is Ruah's community-based psychosocial support service for people experiencing severe and persistent mental health challenges. The service provides non-clinical, trauma-informed, person-centred and strengths-based outreach support to help people work towards their recovery goals, build confidence, strengthen community connection and create meaningful change in their lives. The Team Lead position is a key service delivery role responsible for achieving positive outcomes for clients through the Stronger Ground service. As a Team Lead, you will play an important role in supporting a multidisciplinary team, including Support Coordinators, Peer Recovery Workers, Support Workers and Kaya Peer Workers. You will provide leadership, guidance and support to ensure services are delivered in line with Ruah's Model of Care, Practice Guides, values and service obligations. Your role requires coaching and mentoring your team to support quality service delivery, respond to complex client needs and ensure agreed client outcomes and performance indicators are achieved. You will also contribute to a strong team culture, effective stakeholder relationships, continuous improvement and safe, recovery-focused practice. This is a permanent full time position, working 76 hours per fortnight, 8am - 4pm Monday to Friday. This position is based primarily at our Stronger Ground Team Office in Northbridge What we're looking for The successful applicants will be required to meet the following criteria: Experience in working with clients with complex mental health, suicidal thoughts and behaviours. Experience in direct service delivery to address client needs in a mental health service. Confidence in managing for the achievement of client outcomes in a mental health service. Strong leadership skills, including staff supervision, coaching and support. Sound understanding of trauma-informed and client-centred practice. Confidence with risk assessment, safety planning and complex presentations. Understanding of AOD and mental health impacts within service delivery. Ability to stay calm, responsive and organised in a high-pressure environment. Experience in developing and maintaining collaborative partnerships and stakeholder relationships. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of diversity and social inclusion. What do we offer?
