About the Role The Facilities and Assets Officer is a key operational role within Ruah's Corporate Services team, reporting to the Facilities & Asset Manager. This role is responsible for coordinating property maintenance, managing assets and fleet, and supporting workplace health and safety systems across a diverse portfolio of sites. You will work closely with internal teams and external contractors to ensure Ruah's workplaces are safe, compliant, and fit for purpose. You'll play a vital role in enabling frontline services by ensuring facilities run smoothly, risks are proactively managed, and compliance obligations are met. This role has three core focus areas: Facilities and property maintenance coordination Asset and fleet management Work Health and Safety coordination and compliance This is a full-time permanent position (38 hours per week, Monday to Friday), based in Northbridge with travel to metropolitan and regional sites as required. What we're looking for The successful applicants will be required to meet the following criteria: Experience in facilities, asset management, property maintenance, or a similar role Demonstrated ability to coordinate contractors and service providers Working knowledge of WHS legislation, including hazard identification, incident reporting, and compliance Experience using maintenance, asset, fleet, or building management systems Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities Well-developed communication skills, including report writing and stakeholder engagement The following criteria are considered desirable: A relevant qualification in Facilities Management, Property, Building Services, WHS, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience. Experience supporting site relocations, refurbishments or fit-out projects. Experience working in a community services, not-for-profit, or human services environment. Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards. What do we offer?
