Head of HR

I-MED Radiology is Australia's leading medical imaging network, employing more than 6,000 people and partnering with over 500 radiologists across Australia and New Zealand.
We are seeking an exceptional Head of HR to lead the modernisation of our people operating model and help build a world class People function capable of supporting a complex, distributed healthcare organisation at scale.
This is not a traditional HR operations role.
This is an opportunity for a commercially minded, digitally savvy HR leader to transform systems, processes and delivery while leveraging technology, automation and AI to fundamentally improve the employee and leader experience.
Reporting to the Chief Performance & Capability Officer, you will sit on the People Leadership Team and play a critical role in shaping how people services are delivered across the enterprise.
About the Role
As Head of HR, you will lead the functions that underpin the performance, governance and scalability of our People function, including:
- HR Technology and Digital Transformation
- People Operations and Shared Services
- Workforce Analytics and Reporting
- Governance and Compliance
- Experience and Service Design
You will be accountable for creating a modern, digital-first People function that balances exceptional service with operational excellence, ensuring our people systems and processes support both today's workforce and tomorrow's growth ambitions.
Working closely with the Head of People & Service Delivery you will co design an integrated operating model that ensures employees and leaders receive the right support through the right channel at the right time.

What You'll Be Responsible For
Leading Enterprise HR Transformation
- Develop and execute the People technology and service delivery roadmap
- Lead the transformation, optimisation and future evolution of Oracle HCM
- Modernise people processes and redesign workflows to improve efficiency and experience
- Drive enterprise-wide adoption of digital solutions and self-service capability
Building a Digital and AI Enabled People Function
- Identify and implement opportunities to leverage automation, AI and emerging technologies across the employee lifecycle
- Reduce manual processes and improve productivity through workflow automation and intelligent service design
- Establish a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and experimentation
Creating a World Class Experience
- Build scalable, intuitive and accessible employee and manager self-service solutions
- Improve service quality, responsiveness and user satisfaction across all people services
Strengthening Governance and Compliance
- Ensure robust governance, risk and compliance frameworks are embedded across all people processes
- Oversee workforce compliance, policy governance and audit readiness
- Partner with Legal, Finance and IT to manage enterprise risk and regulatory obligations
Leveraging Data for Better Decisions
- Build a high performing workforce analytics capability
- Deliver actionable workforce insights that support business performance and strategic decision making
- Establish people data as a trusted enterprise asset
About You
You are an experienced HR executive who combines strong operational leadership with a passion for transformation.
You are equally comfortable discussing workforce strategy with executives as you are redesigning a process, implementing technology or challenging legacy ways of working.
You will bring:
- Significant experience leading HR Operations, HR Technology, Shared Services or HR Transformation functions within a large and complex organisation
- Proven success leading enterprise HRIS transformation programs
- Demonstrated experience leveraging technology, automation and AI to improve organisational performance and employee experience
- Experience designing and implementing shared services, service delivery or operating model transformations
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to balance strategic outcomes with operational execution
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills
- A track record of building high-performing teams and developing future leaders
Experience within healthcare, professional services, infrastructure, logistics, retail or other large, distributed workforces will be highly regarded.
