Financial Controller
Your function:
This role leads the organisation's financial control, statutory and regulatory reporting, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial outcomes across a regulated financial services environment. It is responsible for maintaining a robust control framework, overseeing period end close processes, and delivering high quality regulatory reporting that supports effective governance.
In addition, the role leads finance operations and transformation across Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), including the development of onshore and offshore teams and the execution of a clear transformation agenda. As a key partner to the CFO and senior stakeholders, the role also leads the internal and external audit engagements and provides clear, actionable financial insights to support decision making.
Day to day:
Financial Control, Statutory & Regulatory Reporting
- Lead statutory reporting across all entities, ensuring full compliance with IFRS and local regulatory requirements
- Own regulatory reporting, ensuring accurate, complete, and timely submissions
- Act as the technical accounting lead, providing guidance on accounting standards and complex issues
- Oversee period-end close, ensuring disciplined, high-quality, and efficient reporting outcomes
- Maintain and enhance a strong financial control environment, proactively managing risk in partnership with Risk and Audit
- Ensure timely resolution of audit findings and ongoing compliance with reporting and governance obligations
- Partner with the Tax Manager on tax reporting and compliance matters, providing support and acting as a backup as required
Finance Operations & Team Leadership
- Lead and develop a team of 3 across onshore and offshore operations, fostering accountability and collaboration
- Oversee AP and AR functions, ensuring effective, well-controlled, and efficient processes
- Drive continuous improvement in processes, systems, and ways of working to support a scalable finance function
- Act as a key finance subject matter expert on local projects, providing input to ensure appropriate accounting treatment and strong control outcomes
- Build capability across the team, particularly in technical accounting, controls, and reporting
Undertake additional responsibilities as required to support the effective operation, governance, and continuous improvement of the finance function
