The Opportunity

This role offers the chance to contribute to a highperforming federal government program by providing expert financial management, analysis and advice. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance, supporting decisionmaking and strengthening financial performance across a complex operating environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing financial activities in line with Commonwealth frameworks and policies
  • Providing accurate, timely financial reporting and analysis
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes
  • Advising stakeholders on financial risks, compliance and performance
  • Contributing to continuous improvement and highquality financial governance
  • Engaging collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, including Defence where required

About You

You are an experienced financial management professional with strong knowledge of Commonwealth financial frameworks and a proven ability to deliver accurate, reliable financial advice in a fastpaced environment. You work well in highperforming teams, communicate clearly and bring a proactive, solutionsfocused approach.

You bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or Business, or 5+ years' Commonwealth financial management experience
  • Defence financial management and reporting
  • Strategic engagement
  • Team leadership
  • Staff development
