This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Paralegal - Mortgage and Property Finance based in Australia.

This role offers the opportunity to support high-volume mortgage and property finance transactions within the Australian legal framework, playing a key part in ensuring smooth, compliant, and timely settlements. You will work closely with lenders, borrowers, brokers, and legal teams to manage documentation, coordinate settlements, and maintain accuracy across all stages of the conveyancing process. The position is well-suited to a detail-oriented legal professional who thrives in structured, fast-paced environments where precision and deadlines are critical. You will contribute to end-to-end transaction workflows, including title checks, PEXA lodgements, and compliance verification. Operating in a remote setup, you will collaborate with distributed teams while maintaining high standards of legal and procedural accuracy. This is a hands-on support role with direct impact on successful property finance outcomes.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will support the execution of mortgage and property finance transactions across multiple stages of the legal workflow:

  • Assist in preparing, reviewing, and processing mortgage and property finance documentation.
  • Support end-to-end conveyancing workflows, including file opening, settlement coordination, and post-settlement activities.
  • Liaise with lenders, clients, brokers, and third parties to ensure accurate and timely transaction completion.
  • Conduct property title searches, verify documentation, and manage compliance requirements.
  • Perform PEXA lodgements and assist with electronic settlement processes.
  • Prepare settlement packs, calculate disbursements, and monitor outstanding conditions.
  • Maintain accurate records in case management systems and ensure procedural consistency.
  • Ensure adherence to Australian legal, regulatory, and lender-specific requirements.

Requirements:

This role requires strong experience in property finance legal support and a solid understanding of the Australian conveyancing environment:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a paralegal, conveyancing, or mortgage finance support role within Australia.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian property law processes and mortgage documentation.
  • Hands-on experience with PEXA and state land registry systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder coordination.
  • Ability to manage high-volume transaction workflows in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in remote or outsourced legal support environments is highly desirable.
