COMMERCIAL ANALYST

Location: St Leonards, Sydney, with the opportunity to be based on Hamilton Island as required.

Hamilton Island is one of Australia's most iconic integrated tourism destinations, encompassing luxury hotels and resorts, food and beverage outlets, retail, marina operations, aviation, property and major commercial ventures. We are seeking an experienced Commercial Analyst to partner directly with our Chief Operating Officer in driving commercial performance, strategic decision-making and business improvement across this diverse portfolio.

This is a high-impact role for a commercially astute analyst who thrives on turning complex data into meaningful business insights. Working from our St Leonards Head Office, you will lead the development of reporting frameworks, commercial models and executive-level insights that support key strategic initiatives and influence business outcomes across Hamilton Island.

Your Role

As Commercial Analyst, you will provide strategic commercial analysis, reporting and project support across the Hamilton Island portfolio. You will establish robust reporting frameworks, identify commercial opportunities and risks, support key business projects and provide executive-ready insights that enable informed decision-making across the organisation.

Where you'll make an impact

• Develop and maintain commercial reporting, dashboards and performance models across multiple business units

• Analyse key commercial drivers including revenue, occupancy, pricing, channel performance and operational metrics

• Support forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis while identifying commercial risks and opportunities

• Design and standardise reporting frameworks to create consistent, reliable business intelligence

• Prepare executive leadership reports, board papers and presentation material to a professional standard

• Evaluate commercial opportunities, contracts and partnerships through financial modelling and ROI analysis

• Support commercial strategy through market analysis, business cases and scenario modelling

What we're looking for

You are a commercially minded professional with exceptional analytical capability and the confidence to engage senior stakeholders. You combine strong financial acumen with excellent communication skills and can translate complex data into practical commercial recommendations. You are highly organised, naturally curious and motivated by improving business performance through data-driven decision making.

To be successful, you will need:

• Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics or a related discipline

• Demonstrated experience in commercial analysis, business performance or strategic finance

• Strong financial modelling, forecasting and analytical capability

• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail

• A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to influence business outcomes
