About the role:

Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and passionate Dietitian who is ready for a new adventure. As the Dietitian in Charge, you will be able to provide, plan and deliver comprehensive, high quality patient care to our regional Griffith communities. This is your opportunity to step into a position where you are in charge and no two days are the same. You will have opportunities to work within a range of settings, including our brand new, state of the art, Griffith Base Hospital.

You will collaborate and work alongside our other Dietitian in Charge in this job share position.

As the Dietitian in Charge, you will be responsible for:

  • Professional leadership, guidance and day to day operational and line management of the Nutrition and Dietetic staff

  • Organisation and provision of a clinical service and coordination of a small group of staff across a regional area.

  • Problem solving and managing complex situations using your independent professional judgement.

  • Effective recruitment, leadership, management, development and performance of your staff

Our ideal candidate will:

  1. Hold a tertiary qualification in Nutrition and Dietetics, with eligibility for membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia and current Accredited Practicing Dietitian Status.

  2. Provide leadership, manage and motivate staff and ability to work collaboratively, taking leadership in clinical and operational decision making

  3. Demonstrate advanced clinical knowledge, skills and experience within dietetics care, with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and consumer advocacy.
